Two Year Visiting Assistant Professor of Computer Sciences

°ÅÀÖÊÓƵ seeks applications for a two-year visiting Assistant Professor of Computer Science, to begin on July 1, 2024. The teaching load is the equivalent of five semester-long courses a year. Faculty are expected to teach across all levels of the curriculum. Candidates with a Ph.D. in computer science or related fields or at the later stage of Ph.D. study are welcome to apply. The annual salary for this role is between $80,000 and $88,000 with a competitive benefits package. The specific factors that the College will consider when offering a salary to an individual will include, but not be limited to: field of expertise, professorial rank, education completion, relevant prior experience, and performance in prior roles.

Collectively, the Claremont Colleges constitute an academic community of 9,000 students. Pomona's Computer Science department has 8 full-time tenured or tenure-track faculty and there are over 25 CS faculty across the Claremont colleges. In collaboration with the Claremont College Consortium, °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ offers a variety of professional development, mentorship, and networking opportunities for junior faculty including the opportunity for entering faculty members to apply for a fully funded leave in their fourth year at the College.
